Gyre 9, (then known as Forge),  was given a major opportunity to work with Insinkerator, a division of Emerson Corporation, a leader in the appliance industry. Sales were threatened as new competitors entered the retail space. Insinkerator engaged our industrial design team to create a new brand language for their disposal product line. The task was to not only improve the aesthetics but to create a design language that could leverage their highly automated production line for all sku's in the line.

Our engineering and design team got to work very closely with the Insinkerator engineering and production team, to make sure that the design aligned with their requirements. Consumer research was also done to identify features preferred by consumers.

The result was a new improved design language including a distinct separation of price points.  All SKUs were now brought into their highly automated production line.  The collaboration represents more than a design refresh; it symbolizes a dynamic blend of creativity and innovation.
